From the Gospel According to JohnBeloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God
and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love. God's love was
revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live
through him. In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be
the atoning sacrifice for our sins. Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love
one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is
perfected in us.

Two Parishioners Honored by the Santa Fe New Mexican NewspaperEach year, the paper honors persons and organizations who made a difference. For 2010 we
are proud that our Lydia Pendley was honored for her annual effort in Santa Fe to build three
room houses for needy families in Ciudad Jurez, Mexico. Lydia and her team have, with other
Santa Fe and El Paso participants, built 18 homes there since 2000. Lydia's associate in this
effort, Jane Peacock, said, "We don't understand the concept of nothing in the US, but they have nothing." .Santa Fe's Interfaith Community Shelter has mushroomed in recent years in its
accomplishments to feed and house Santa Fe's homeless families during winter months. Our
own Susan Odiseos was honored as one of the founding board members. Susan and her
associates in the Shelter, under the leadership of The Rev. Kenneth Semon, supported by
forty-two faith organizations, this year formed an alliance with the City, to purchase and
operate in a building on Cerrillos Road, centrally located and accessible to their customers..These two efforts depend upon direct contributions and have not been fortunate to receive
grants. To contribute, see the link "donate" above. Donations labeled "Jurez" or "Interfaith
Shelter" or similar words will be immediately added to two unique and separate funds
established for these specific purposes and accessible only to these efforts. Every gift will be
