Welcome to Southwestern College. We are a fully accredited graduate school in the amazing art capital of Santa Fe, New Mexico. We offer a Master's Degree in Counseling and a Master's Degree in Art Therapy / Counseling. Our holistic, transformational education emphasizes experiential learning, and becoming a deeply reflective, holistic licensed professional and agent of deep change.
Our approach emcompasses a wide range of clinical and world views. Our influences include: Carl Jung, Carl Rogers, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Abraham Maslow, Rudolf Steiner, Phineas Quimby, Ancient and Indigenous Wisdom Traditions, Neurobiology, Cognitive Behavioral Approaches and positive psychology among others.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) site visit team delivered its report to Southwestern College. They are recommending a ten year re-accreditation (the longest that HLC can offer). A written progress report will be submitted in three years addressing valuable initiatives that are being recommended for further improvement of the College.
Thanks to all who participated in surveys and interviews, and thanks for your support of the College and its mission. More details will be available when the final written report is delivered in a few weeks.
