The Literacy Learning Center is conveniently located at 2003 Southern Blvd. Suite 118, in Rio Rancho. The philosophy of the center is based on Bloom's learning theories. Benjamin Bloom determined that the best way to learn was one on one. During his lifetime he sought to explore ways to incorporate one on one learning into the classroom setting. Although many of his theories are used today in the classroom, the one on one method of teaching still remains the best way to learn. The Literacy Learning Center uses the one on one method to encourage and motivate students of all ages. The learning center has a documented record of success. Students are making better grades, feeling better about themselves, and learning to self motivate. Marilyn Alexander the owner and director is a doctoral student at the University of Phoenix. Marilyn is currently working on her dissertation on learning motivational methods.
