Intuitive and Healing Arts since 1979...After over 30 years as a medium, spiritual healer and guidance counselor, connecting people to their inner truths and creative potential is still what I most happy doing, and to participate with people on such a meaningful level is also a joy.
Understand transitions and take opportunities: Psychic counseling and spiritual healing methodologies quickly reveal the consequence of contemplated actions and choices. They can help you make an informed choice. Other methods produce insights about you as I am getting ready for our session. I begin by telling you whatever information came unbidden, and then, what can be sensed in your energy field. Then we work with whatever you want to pay attention to. Along with clairvoyant reading and mediumship, my two most usual tools are the Speaking Stones and the tarot. The 8 stones are from Peru and Bolivia, a unique divination system given to me in a cave near Machu Pichu, where stones imbued with Inca wisdom are still enshrined.

Healing work in person: More action than words, in healing work you are the passive receiver of the healing process I receive for you. I use Native American smudging techniques, or "limpia" techniques (spiritual bath) and prayer. Healing is like a "work" rather than a consult. The general purpose is to relieve you, to allow for the release of the old, and to bless and lighten your spirit.

Educational background and training: Elissa Heyman has been an intuitive and healing arts practitioner since 1979. Her B.A. is an independent major from University of California at Santa Barbara in "Communication Theory with an Emphasis on the Limits of Language." She is trained in traditional therapeutic counseling, including six years at the Santa Barbara County Mental Health Clinic. She founded and ran "The Help Center" at U.C.S.B. for five years, a student counseling service.

Beginning at 19, Elissa's natural psychic and healing abilities were developed during a decades-long apprenticeship with trance medium and spiritual counselor Eric Teissedre. She has developed her own divination systems and unique processes for clairvoyant reading and spiritual healing. She continues her educational process around the world through workshops and trainings with prominent practitioners of shamanic and spiritual healing, as well as other modalities. Elissa also teaches continuing education classes for professionals, and gives workshops in intuition development. Currently Elissa writes for The Examiner as The Santa Fe Spiritual Examiner.
