About Legal FACS
Welcome to our Legal FACS website that offer some basic forms for do-it-yourself litigants. This site offers free pro se legal forms, instructional information, and online "Wizards" that help you complete your New Mexico Child Support Worksheet and other common legal forms such as uncontested divorce.
Legal FACS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that has provided free or low-cost legal services and domestic violence advocacy services (change to services) since 1971. Our mission is to assist low-income individuals and families access the legal system.
Services are mainly provided through our unique Courthouse Lawyer Service (CLS) and Forms Clinic , and include consultation and information on such issues as divorce, child custody, visitation, child support calculations and property division. We also represent domestic violence victims at hearings for Orders of Protection, and in some cases provide full representation. Although our services are free, clients must pay any court fees, service costs, discovery and any other expense.
Clients must qualify for services under our eligibility guidelines and established priorities to use our Volunteer Courthouse Lawyer Services , our Forms Clinic, or in some cases receive free legal representation. Support our mission with a tax deductible contribution now.

Legal FACS is moving to a new location!! As of October 1st, 2009 we will be moving to our new office at the corner of 9th and Lomas. We will be closer to the courthouse, only 4 blocks away. We will have more parking then we currently have and we are still downtown near public transportation. Our new address will be 924 Lomas Ave. NW., Albuquerque, NM, 87102

It is important at the outset that self-represented persons recognize that they are required to follow the same rules of procedure and evidence as a party represented by a lawyer. It is the responsibility of every litigant, including self-represented parties, to determine what needs to be done and to take the necessary action.
