Salon X is a small, owner-operated hair salon located in majestic Taos, New Mexico, only a short walk from the historic Taos Plaza and the downtown shopping district. We are adjacent to free public parking, so it is easy to access, and worth visiting when in the area. Our client base spans Taos, Red River, Questa, Angel Fire, Dixon, Espanola, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and portions of southern Colorado.

At Salon X, we strive to be the best in our field. Every effort is made to be current with the latest trends in hairstyling, and continue to advance our education as stylists. Through this endeavor we began to challenge ourselves by learning from the best, at Jaques Dessange International Training Center in Paris, France. We are proud to bring the precision and perfection of Europe’s finest coiffures to the southwest because everyone deserves to have X-cellent hair.
Salon X believes in using only the finest hair care products, that are great for your hair, and for the environment. We carry Phytodess by Jaques Dessange, Eufora, and Johnny B.’s for the boys; we use Alphaparf color for the shiniest most luminous hair, and L’Oreal Professional for most Balayage highlights.

Our intention at Salon X is to enhance the innate beauty of our clients through haircutting techniques that are considerate of your bone structure, hair texture, face shape and frame size; then adding hair color that illuminates, gives dimension, is beautiful and natural. Whether you prefer a more classic style or something more modern and edgy, we will make you look and feel your best!
