Well Construction Supervision and Observation
GGI personnel are involved in the drilling and construction of all wells we design to ensure that the completed well conforms to design specifications. Depending on the nature of the project, staff may be onsite 24/7 (for large, municipal well projects) or may check in daily during drilling and be on-site for the duration of well construction. While on-site, project staff are involved in: Logging cuttings to identify potentially productive intervals Monitoring drilling fluid properties Confirming borehole deviation measurements to ensure a straight borehole Measuring and recording all well completion materials Verifying the location of screened and blank casing intervals during construction Muncipal well completion, ...
We develop, research and transfer water rights GGI offers a wide variety of Water Rights related services. GGI's experienced staff can assist you in water rights related areas including but not limited to: Water Rights Evaluation: Historical & Field Analysis of Land Litigation Support & Expert Witness Testimony Groundwater and Surface Water Modeling Water Rights Development Strategies Water Rights File Abstracting Water Rights Transfer Water Rights Compliance Consultation OSE Document Preparation and Application Consultation Overlay of irrigated tracts on air photo base for water rights analysis Field review and documentation of water rights ...
After a well site has been selected, proper well design and construction are the critical elements for the success of any groundwater resource-related project. Each well designed by GGI is customized to meet the needs of the individual project, with an emphasis on maximizing both well production and water quality while minimizing cost and maintaining compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Depending on the project scope, data incorporated into well design may include any or all of the following: Lithologic data from well cuttings Geophysical logs of the borehole Grain size analyses of cuttings Water quality data from open-hole zone sampling programs ASTM/AWWA ...
We map, investigate and sample soils, sediments and wetlands GGI has completed geomorphic mapping and soil stratigraphic studies in support of numerous environmental, archeological, water rights, spring inventory, geologic mapping and paleontological investigations. These projects include geomorphic mapping and analysis of sediment transport through canyons in the vicinity of Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), evaluation of the geomorphic context and delineation of soil stratigraphic relationships for archaeological sites in northern and central NM, soils analyses for wetlands delineation and mitigation projects, slope stability and seismic hazard analyses, and stratigraphic analysis of Pleistocene fossil localities. GGI has also collaborated in geomorphic and geologic ...
GGI has conduted numerous investigations focusing on evaluation of the soil stratigraphic context of archaeological sites to provide information on temporal context, site integrity, and correlations between sites. (Mesa top geoarchaeology publication) Selected Projects: Geoarchaeology Investigations, Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) (2002 to 2005) Geoarchaeology Investigation, Paseo del Norte extension, Petroglyph National Monument, Albuquerque, NM (2005), and Valles Caldera National Preserve, NM (2007) Geomorphic setting and stratigraphic correlations between field house sites, Rendija Canyon, NM Soil description in excavation through archaic site
Wetlands delineation procedures give consideration to three environmental parameters: (i) vegetation, (ii) soils, and (iii) hydrology. Presence or absence of wetlands on a property is determined by the presence or absence of these three wetland indicator parameters. It is important to know the presence of wetlands on a property prior to initiation of any construction activities because such sites are subjected to Army Corps of Engineers' wetland regulations as authorized by Section 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act. A general permit coverage from the Corps is required prior to discharging dredged or fill material to the wetlands. GGI's highly trained ...
We assist you in permit compliance, manure management, water quality protection and crop production ! For more than a decade, GGI has provided a wide range of compliance services to dairies and CAFOs ranging from as small as 600 milking cows to larger operations with 10,000 milking cows. GGI has assisted dairy owners in their efforts to comply with Federal and state regulations that are constantly changing. GGI has an experienced dairy staff (NRCS-certified Technical Service Providers in New Mexico, Nevada, Kansas, and Colorado) that helped our clients acquire over $2,000,000 of EQIP funding in the last two years alone for improving ...
GGI has constructed site-specific models to simulate various hydrogeologic conditions, such as shallow alluvial aquifers that are closely connected with adjacent streams and springs, fractured bedrock aquifers, and deep, semi-consolidated basin fill aquifers. These models are used to make predictions for future water availability, the potential for groundwater contaminant transport to water supply wells and well field management.
