Good Grief! It's Charlie Brown at the ADOBE in December
Nobody is allergic to these PEANUTS! The wonderful characters created by Charles Schulz return to the ADOBE Theater for three weekends in the revised version of the musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown by Clark Gesner. Audiences of all ages love this show at holiday time, so make your reservations soon. Director Daryl Streeter has selected an excellent cast to portray Lucy, Linus, Schroeder, Snoopy, and all your other favorites in delightful song and dance.
Daryl has directed many musicals at local theaters. He chose this one because "it is a brand new look at the wildly popular show, one the whole family can enjoy on a typical day with the Peanuts gang."
This show was last performed at the ADOBE about ten years ago, featuring the young Jesse Tyler Ferguson, now nationally known from film, Broadway, and "Modern Family." (Like another local, Neil Patrick Harris, he's gone a long way!) The new version retains all the best from the earlier script and brings the kids a bit more up to date. Don't worry: they are still the most memorable characters that we see in the comics, just as funny and colorful, and still learning important life lessons about school, sports, and family.
Snoopy will be impersonated by Gilbert Sanchez, with Dan Martinez as Charlie Brown; the rest of the ensemble is made up of Amanda Morales, Jonathan Gallegos, Christy Burbank and Leonard Hughes.
ADOBE musicals sell out quickly so you are advised to make your reservations early.
