Word of the Week: THANKFUL
"Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe," Hebrews 12:28. I think that thankful means that if you ask for something and do not receive it, you should still be happy for what you have. By: Seth A.

SCIENCE FAIR JUDGES NEEDED
The 16th annual ACS science fair is scheduled for Thursday, December 16th, and we are in need of judges. If you have a background in science, this can be a very rewarding and fun day. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Haley at the front desk or Miss Thomas, our science teacher here at ACS.
Tutoring (after school Homework help)
ACS is offering tutoring to students who are in need of a little extra help. The tutoring will take place in the language room after school from 3:30 to 4:30 on Monday through Friday. The cost will be $5 per session. The teacher who will be tutoring the students is Ms. Thomas. This is a great opportunity for those who need a little extra support to catch up and even excel. If more than six students are in attendance, we will get a second tutor to help out!
This month, we are collecting new or gently used coats for those less fortunate. Please drop your donation off in the blue tub in the foyer. With the weather getting colder, warm jackets are desperately needed to help our community.
PLEASE remember the school, staff, and children in your daily prayers.
"Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations,"
