You just have to love her! She is an outstanding Porcelain Fashion Doll. Her dress is beaded, sequined, & glittered to the hilt! Her fantastic feathered & sequined hat screams high fashion of 1912.
Her costume looks much like the fabulous costumes from the movie, Titanic. She would be at home in that great ballroom. She is Lot 146 in our current catalog. She is a future heirloom for sure.
Our Auction will have some vintage Barbies as well as more recent collectible Barbies. Let's not forget Ken. Poor Guy. The original Ken dolls have balding issues. Hey, wait a minute, He's 50 years old! Balding happens!
Why Sachs 5th Auction?
Sachs 5th Auction has been in business since 1998. The Principal Auctioneer, Lorraine Sachs Garcia, has a National Auctioneer Association's CAI designation, and strictly adheres to the NAA's Code of Ethics.
Our Auction House is located in downtown Belen, New Mexico. Family owned and operated, we strive to hold the best, most professional auctions possible, held anywhere. In addition, we want our auctions to be a fun, entertaining experience for all. We are very proud of our auction house. You can see an example (above photo) of the wonderful murals we have throughout the interior of our auction house by two fine artists, Gwen Thorman and Loretta Sachs.
Although fast paced, our auctions have a relaxed atmosphere. Our auction house is clean and comfortable, with nice restroom facilities. You need not go hungry here either. The Breakfast Optimist Club has a concession stand onsite. You can have your coffee and donut in the morning, and a grilled hamburger & chips for lunch. Their menu is very reasonably priced, and the Optimists retain all proceeds from their sales to benefit youth programs.
We Are a Great Auction House & Want You to Know How It Works, and How to Enjoy It!
We are always updating our Auctions 101 page, but if you have any questions, please contact us!
We listen to comments from both consignors and bidders. Therefore, we will endeavor to clarify, as best as possible, how auctions work. Visit our Auctions 101 page. We update it regularly in an effort to communicate our policies to both our buyers and consignors, as well as some information that we feel may be beneficial. Have a question? Contact Us!
Do we have to to this? No. What you see on this site is more than adequate in the industry, and more than most auction houses do. It covers much more than is standard. However, we are much better than most auction houses, and we strive to be the Best!
Can't make it to our auction? Bid Online! Through www.proxibid.com/sachs you can bid ahead of time, or live in real time during our simulcast auction. Some of our local customers enjoy our auctions from the comfort of their homes, and pick up their purchases after the auction. For those of you who are not local, we can ship your winning bid to you.
More About Our Auctions, You Can Scratch Your Nose!
New to auctions? Although fast paced, we don't go so fast that someone new to auctions can't follow. Also, If you scratch your nose or wave at a friend and we take that as a bid, we will back out that "bid" upon your request. Just jump up and down and let us know you didn't mean it! We don't expect you to sit on your hands, which would make it very difficult to eat those Optimist's Nachos you just bought. Check out our Auctions 101 page for additional information!
For our experienced auction customers. Of course, we will spot that hand going slightly up for your bid, as always. Never fear.
Notice to all of our on-site bidders: There is a slight delay because of the feed from our online bidders, (technology is not perfect). Sometimes we have to re-open a bid after it has been declared sold because of this. It is the nature of the beast. We ask you to understand.
