Paula Rhae McDonald, owner of Kiva Fine Art, is a successful
business woman and lover of Native American Art. Although she has
lived in many parts of the country, when it came time to settle down,
Santa Fe called her home. "I spent many happy summers here with
my grandparents as a child," recalls Paula, "I guess it's the multicultural
aspect I enjoy the most. Because I come from a multicultural heritage,
it was difficult to fit into many other places I have lived.
" Paula is of Native American ancestry as well as Irish, Dutch and German.
Paula's gallery spaces are located in the famed historic El Centro
building just steps from the plaza in downtown Santa Fe. "We are a little
off the beaten path," says Paula. "But the people seem to find us."
As a matter of fact, people seem to be magically drawn to Kiva.
"People often comment that 'it feels good in here'.
I try to make everyone feel comfortable and
share the story of the art and artists.
