Mountain States Insurance Group (MSIG) considers maintaining the confidence and trust of our policyholders and customers to be our first priority. You provide us with personal information when you transact business with us. MSIG does not sell information about you to other parties. We protect your personal information and consider its status to be confidential.

We obtain information about you from the applications and other forms that you complete; from the transactions that you conduct with us in your insurance business; from outside sources of records such as the Motor Vehicle Department or police accident records and from your insurance agent.

MSIG does not disclose personal information about customers or former customers, except as provided by law. Our employees have access to information about you, as it is contained in our files, on an as needed basis. We exchange information about you with independent insurance agents who represent our company and are authorized to sell our companys products. These independent insurance agents are not employees of our company. However, they are subject to our privacy policy under a Joint Marketing Agreement that exists between our company and their agency. Your independent agent may have more personal information about you than he shares with our company. The independent agent may have personal information about you that is not shared with our company and your independent agent may have additional duties in protecting your privacy and the security of that information that does not involve our company.

MSIG collects personal information about you only if you voluntarily provide it to us by completing questionnaires on our web site. We do not collect your individual e-mail address. We do not use cookies for the purpose of collecting data from your computer. Our use of cookies is restricted to providing service to you from our web site.

We use electronic technology to secure information contained within our file records so the information cannot be accessed by unauthorized persons.

MSIG consists of Mountain States Mutual Casualty Company, Mountain States Indemnity Company and Rocky Mountain National Insurance Services. All affiliated companies are subject to MSIGs privacy policy.
