Home Couture - the business of designing, making and selling fashionable custom made home furnishings - taking all measurements to prepare custom designs that are individually produced, one-of-a-kind creations. There is dressmaker attention to the small details (lining, pattern matching, embellishments) that make couture pieces a joy to observe and to own. This level of quality is NOT inexpensive or quick, but is oh so luxurious and magical.

Soft Furnishings - examples of soft furnishings would be: draperies and shades, bedding and duvets, tablecoverings (cloths, placemats, runners, napkins) rugs, luxury cushions, throws, pillows, bolsters, slipcovers, upholstered headboards.

Deborah Smith, the owner of Cornerstone Interiors, has been in the interior decorating and custom window treatment business since 1992. Deborah holds the professional designations of Certified Interior Decorating Consultant (CIDC), Certified Faux Finishing Consultant (CFC) and Window Fashions Certified Professional (WFCP). In 2005, Deborah was selected to be a featured designer on one episode of HGTV s most popular prime-time show, Designers' Challenge. Deborah Smith is the only interior decorating professional from New Mexico featured in HGTV.com's Designers' Portfolio.
Most of the projects Cornerstone Interiors does are residential, but occasionally we do commercial work as well. For the past several years we have designed and installed custom window treatments for various builders with entries in the Albuquerque Homes of Enchantment Tour.
At Cornerstone Interiors, we make a concerted effort to stay abreast of the latest innovations in window treatment design, interior decorating trends and new product offerings by traveling to 2 or 3 trade shows each year, reading current trade publications and shelter magazines, attending seminars and workshops.
Cornerstone Interiors carries a wide assortment of both "hard" and "soft" window treatment products and has more than 30,000 fabric selections at their Albuquerque studio. Bedding ensembles, throw pillows, selected upholstery and case goods, faux finishes and wallpaper, flooring, area rugs and accessories are additional products Cornerstone Interiors offers to their clients.
Cornerstone Interiors is a member of the Paint and Decorating Retailers Association, Decorator's Alliance of North America, the Home Builders Association of Central New Mexico, the National Association of Home Builders and the New Mexico Home Builders Association.
