Santa Fe's Reform Congregation With a Traditional Philosophy

Welcome to Congregation Beit Tikva
Welcome to our home at 2230 Old Pecos Trail in beautiful and historic Santa Fe, New Mexico.
At Congregation Beit Tikva we use the new Siddur (prayer book), Mishkan T'filah. It offers a balance of creativity and beauty, theology and purpose. This prayer book provides a true translation of Hebrew passages instead of interpretive translations. It also has a full transliteration of all Hebrew prayers, along with commentaries and background information. The Si includes an extensive selection of musical texts, recognizing that a "singing congregation" is far more common than a generation ago. It is designed to make worship services far more participatory, and provides opportunities for our rabbis and cantor to engage the congregation more fully in the service.
We ensure that women and men have equal roles and responsibilities, and we incorporate more Hebrew into our services than many Reform congregations. We include a reading from the Torah at Shabbat evening services, as well as a Davar Torah most Friday nights. All persons are welcome to attend our service.
Our vibrant community recognizes that the source of our strength and joy lies in the warm and enthusiastic people who make up our congregation. We are proud to include people of every age, and from a very broad range of lifestyles and backgrounds.
Beit Tikva is often proud to host visitors from around the world at our Friday night and High Holiday services. The hospitality of our members has earned us our reputation of being the warm, friendly, and comfortable Reform Congregation in Santa Fe.
