Products designed & manufactured by Zomeworks Corporation
The UTRF-168 passive tracker can hold up to 2 kW of power or 168 square feet of module. The design has been refined over the past three decades for improved performance and reliability. Many of our trackers are still in use after 25 years. (Photo left: UTRF168 Trackers, Alpine Elementary School, Mark Snyder Electric, 2006)
Cool Cell Battery Enclosures
COOL CELLS are highly insulated, passively cooled outdoor enclosures for batteries and low power electronic equipment. An internal water reservoir connected to the radiator lid of the enclosure is recharged with cool water each night. The cooled water guards against day time temperature extremes to preserve the life of batteries and reliability of electronic equipment. Cool Cells are best suited for critical applications at remote sites. (Photo left: Cool Cell model CCHF-544456-4T4R courtesy of Carmanah Technologies)
UNIVERSAL FIXED RACKS are made from modular components and are configured at order to fit the specific type and number of modules. Modular construction equates to greater economy and short lead times for prompt delivery. We have pole top, ground and roof mount as well as low profile ground mount racking systems to meet your requirements.
Excellent instrument for teaching the relationship of the sun, earth and seasons. Set your latitude, the month's solar declination and turn the laser to sweep out the sun's path.
The Sunbender Reflector / Shade is designed to fit any well-built, sturdy curb mount skylight. During the heating season it reflects from 100,000 to 200,000 extra Btus per square foot of skylight into the building below.
Learn about energy technologies at Zomeworks
At Zomeworks, we realize the importance of education in generating interest about the passive solar field.
Several classes have taken field trips to Zomeworks and we frequently give tours of our facilities to anyone interested. Besides the shop where we manufacture PV racks and Cool Cells, there are always research prototypes (illustrating a variety of passive concepts) for visitors to consider. Many of our visitors are architects and those involved with green engineering, but we welcome anyone who is intrigued by our work.
If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact us at zomework@zomeworks.com or call (505)242-5354. Advance notice is greatly appreciated.
Zomeworks is committed to develop, manufacture and sell simple, elegant products that are durable enough to last and be useful to the successor generations of those who build them.
